Brrrr! Have you been outside? It’s f-f-f-freeezing! With winter in full swing, I’m trying my best to keep warm anyway that I can. Where I live it hasn’t been as bad as other parts of the country, regardless we’ve already seen our fair share of chilling temperatures with more on the way.

So how do you stay warm on a really cold, winter day? As a southern girl, I must admit that I don’t do cold very well. It seems that during the winter I love nothing more than to be bundled up indoors. One room in my home that I have to use daily is my home office. This room also happens to be the coldest room in the house. The space heater in the room does a decent job of getting rid of the chill but there are still a few “cold” spots in this room and other areas of our home that could use a little extra warmth. So, with the giftcard provided by Walmart as a part of the Walmart Moms, I headed out to my local Walmart store to find a solution.

I think that an electric blanket is a home essential during the winter months. Not only are they warm and cozy but they also use less energy than a space heater and they are portable so one can use them no matter what room of the house they are in so long as there is an outlet nearby. At Walmart, I not only found a budget friendly heated throw but it’s also fashionable. This Fleece Heated Throw by Sunbeam is Extra Soft with a fun zebra print. I was amazed that the price of this heated throw was just $19.96 at Walmart. This is a great deal! It has 3 heat settings: Low, Med, and HIGH as well as an auto-off feature that will turn the throw off after 3-hours. I love the auto-off feature and each of the settings provided a great amount of warmth.

This throw is the perfect size in my opinion. Whether I’m snuggling on the couch watching a movie or reading in my favorite chair, this throw can easily be carried to any of my favorite spots in my home and gives me a little extra warmth on a cold winter’s night. That cold home office? Is starting to feel a little bit warmer now.
